Facial Cosmetic Surgery Alternatives

What are my options for non-surgical facial cosmetic procedures?

If you'd like to look younger, but you don't want to endure plastic surgery, ask us about Botox and Juvéderm. These medications can alleviate fine lines and wrinkles on your face and plump your skin for a fresher, more attractive appearance.

What's the difference between Botox and Juvéderm?

Botox actually relaxes muscles that hold wrinkles. For instance, Botox can reduce or eliminate those pesky lines right above the nose, between the eyes. You'll retain ability to show expression with your face, but the wrinkles won't be there.

Juvéderm is a dermal filler that plumps skin with cross-linked hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring acid that depletes with age. Volume can enhance the appearance of lips and the fold between nose and cheeks. In addition, Juvéderm can fill out the chin and cheeks.

How can I determine which procedures I need?

As a rule of thumb, Botox improves the forehead and eye area, and Juvéderm is used on areas of the face below the eyes. Many people prefer both to achieve an overall youthful appearance.

How long does treatment last?

Both Botox and Juvéderm require maintenance. The frequency of your appointments will be based on the procedures you choose. For instance, most patients require treatment about every four months, but lower eyelid injections can last a year and a half.

How are Botox and Juvéderm administered?

These FDA-approved drugs are delivered by injection. Most patients report no pain and no down time following their procedure.
